PILATES HUMAN offers a variety of live and on demand classes (Mat, Reformer, Tower and mixed equipment). Each class is a unique experience. Classes are all open level. Why? Because the expectation is that all students are fully autonomous. We take a "choose your own adventure" strategy to group class. In our view, being a good listener makes a student "advanced;” it’s not the strongest or the most flexible. PILATES HUMAN teaches students to learn to stop and make good choices for themselves in real-time to become the most capable, agile, and resilient version of self.
PILATES
The fundamentals of movement start here. Pilates focuses on strengthening your deep core stabilizer muscles. In all workouts you will move through precise exercises that balance out instability in the body, bring awareness on how to properly use your core, and improve spine flexibility. Let’s reset the thinking of how to get superficial six-pack abs, and open your mind to building a solid core foundation.
MOBILITY
The energy you need to perform daily movements. Mobility energizes the body and brain together by activating specific muscle groups that supports daily functional movement. In all workouts, you will actively engage muscles that are tight, weak, or overused to improve total body strength, range of motion, and posture. Sitting is a part of our everyday lives, so let’s form new habits that make us move on purpose.
RELEASE
The natural stress relief. Release deeply relaxes and rejuvenates the body and mind using myofascial release, stretching, and breathing. In all workouts you will immediately relieve tension in the body and brain through movement and mindfulness. Releasing tension in the body is releasing toxic thoughts in the brain.
Who teaches the classes? Anula. Who makes sure everything works? Lindsay. They met while working together virtually during lockdown. Anula has 15 years of experience teaching Pilates and Lindsay brings 15 years of experience in the business world. Combined they decided to create PILATES HUMAN.
